Hong Kong amends tax law, paves way for sukuk
Hong Kong’s tax regulator, the Inland Revenue Department (IRD), has amended its tax and stamp duty rules for sukuk, giving the product a framework comparable with conventional bonds in the hope that this could boost its use in the jurisdiction.
