Enel displays timing knack again with €1.7bn hybrid debut

Enel, the Italian power company, succeeded on Tuesday in bringing to market its first-ever hybrid capital issue, in euros and sterling. The mandate had been announced on May 29, after Enel’s board declared in March that it would issue €5bn of hybrid capital with 50% equity credit over the next three years.
