Funding for Lending grows, but SME financing falls
Net lending to small and medium sized firms in the UK fell by £583m over the second quarter of the year despite banks being incentivised to lend under the Bank of England’s Funding for Lending Scheme (FLS). The growth rate of lending to larger businesses over the second quarter was also negative.
