Bold FIG issuers shrug off political obstacles
Political upheaval in Italy drew more attention from the European banking market this week than the US government shutdown, but both issues contributed to a sense of unease among FIG market participants. But spreads have remained stable even though there have been some hefty intraday swings, and several issuers managed to price deals, including NIBC, which brought its long awaited conditional pass through covered bond.
