EDF sells biggest ever green bond, plans more
Electricité de France launched its first green bond today – at €1.4bn, the biggest ever green bond. Although two other private sector green bonds were launched on Monday this week, this transaction is likely to be seen as the deal that opens the market for private issuers in Europe, thanks to its large size and the prominence of its issuer.
