Abenomics drives Japanese banks’ first half results
Three of Japan’s banks reported first half results this week, with Abenomics once again driving profits. Mizuho Financial Group reported an impressive 133.2% leap in its net income for the first half of the financial year compared with last year, allowing it also to raise its full year profit forecast by ¥100bn ($1bn).
