SSAs await taper verdict
The Federal Reserve Open Markets committee meets later on Wednesday to decide whether or not it will begin reducing its quantitative easing programme. While tapering could cause volatility across the fixed income markets, magnified by the low trading volumes over year end, sovereign, supranational and agency bankers were confident that it would not slow the wave of supply set for January.
