Issuers should not defer debt sales despite QE debate
While markets appear to have priced in a tapering of US quantitative easing in September, a growing number of economists are arguing that weak data from the US mean any reduction is unlikely to happen until December. But whatever the timetable for the withdrawing of QE, rates are only heading one way — up — and bankers say bond issuers would be better advised to come in the current period of market stability, writes Lorraine Cushnie.
