FIG banker frustration as borrowers hold fire despite keen investors
London FIG bankers were left bemused this week as although the euro denominated bond market was in excellent shape and enjoyed a strong secondary market rally, only three bank borrowers chose to offer limited supply to hungry buyers.
"Theres been only little scraps of business," said a credit analyst at an investment house.
"We expected more activity. Theres still quite a lot of term funding to be done, so we were thinking there would be more supply."
