‘Smart’ Turkey breaks through Spain barrier
Investors underlined their growing preference for emerging market sovereigns over weaker EU names this week when sub-investment grade Turkey managed to get a Eu500m tap of its 2020s away inside Spain’s sovereign curve, despite being rated around seven notches lower. In addition, Jordan issued its debut Eurobond and Lebanon expanded its yield curve.
