Morgan Stanley heaviest user of PDCF at top of crisis
The US Federal Reserve this week released a vast quantity of data regarding transactions that it carried out during the sub-prime crisis in order to support the banking sector. The Fed published spreadsheets containing data on 21,000 support transactions across its various emergency programmes.
The accompanying graphs illustrate data from the Primary Dealer Credit Facility, a borrowing facility for US primary dealers that was put in place by the Fed as liquidity in overnight markets dried up for banks in March 2008.EuroWeek
