FIG issuance comes to the fore in dollars
Foreign financial institutions played a dominant role in the glut of new US dollar issuance this week as Yankee banks with ambitious borrowing plans for 2011 jumped at the first opportunity to tap the market.
ANZ, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, Rabobank and Royal Bank of Scotland queued up to take advantage of a positive market tone that was established on Tuesday as the release of positive US jobs data added to a mood of optimism about a US economic recovery.
