Cyrus Ardalan leaves BarCap for group job, Boath tipped to inherit public sector
Cyrus Ardalan, vice-chairman of Barclays Capital and head of its Emea public sector team, is leaving the investment bank for a new job at Barclays at group level. Ardalan (pictured right) will be vice-chairman and head of UK and European government relations — a key job as Barclays, like other banks, faces challenging regulatory reforms.
An internal Barclays memo of June 20 said the appointment was effective immediately.
Barclays has not yet announced who will take over running public sector coverage, but two bankers close to the situation told EuroWeek
that Richard Boath was a likely candidate for at least some of these responsibilities.Boath
