Enel quick to sell Terna in strong market, raises €280m
Italy’s Enel was quick to move in selling its entire 5.09% stake in grid company Terna Rete Elettrica Nazionale after publishing preliminary full year numbers earlier in the week, leaving bankers hoping that other vendors will push through sales as soon as they come out of blackout.
Enel mandated relationship banks Banca IMI, JP Morgan, Mediobanca and UniCredit on Wednesday for the sale. The stake was not a core holding for the company, which meant that investors had expected a sale at some point, said bankers, though some were not expecting it to come so
