Euro buyers hot for CEE as Poland book blasts past €3bn
The Republic of Poland priced a €1.75bn 12 year note at 143bp over mid-swaps on Tuesday, the tight end of guidance. The deal was heavily oversubscribed — with a book of €3.5bn — providing a solid demonstration of the demand that exists for CEE issuers in euros.
The deal came just one day after the Czech Republic tapped its September 2022s for 750m at a level that was also well inside initial price thoughts.
Commerzbank, HSBC, ING and Société Générale opened books on Polands July 2024 trade on Tuesday morning, having already gathered more than 2.5bn
