Italy may put Scandis off US market
Scandinavian issuers planning to launch Yankee senior unsecured deals this week may be reconsidering in the wake of widening in the US market following the Italian election, FIG bankers told EuroWeek Bank Finance on Thursday.
Two Scandinavian names were understood to be ready to launch US dollar benchmarks after BNP Paribas printed a $1bn Yankee deal on Monday.
But those trades may now be put on hold as volatility in European markets largely down to a hung parliament in Italy
