Remy Cointreau owners sell €130m stake

A Remy Cointreau shareholder sold a €128.3m stake in the French drinks company on Thursday night, raising funds for a takeover through a quick sale helped by new support from French funds.

The company’s family shareholder sold 1.5m shares, 2.9% of the company, for €85.50 each. That was a 3.6% discount to Thursday’s €88.66 close.
