QTel takes $1bn dual trancher, pushes out to 30 years with little pickup on pricing

Qatar Telecom (QTel) priced a $1bn dual tranche bond on Wednesday evening, pushing its curve out to 2043 as it became one of only a handful of issuers from the Gulf region to print 30 year paper.

It sold a $500m 15 year note at 215bp over 10 year US Treasuries, with a price of 98.834 and a coupon of 3.875%. A $500m 30 year note was printed at 162.5bp over 30 year US Treasuries, with a price of 97.697 and coupon of 4.5%.
