BarCap succumbs to sluggish markets
Barclays reported third quarter results on Tuesday, and while the bank’s interim management statement preferred to focus on a startling 22% increase in nine-month pre-tax profits at Barclays Capital compared to 2009, the division actually posted a pre-tax loss of £182m.
