BarCap adds Kravetz and Kagan for US CMBS
Barclays Capital has hired Larry Kravetz and Spencer Kagan to work on CMBS origination. Kravetz will be head of CMBS finance, and Kagan will be head of CMBS credit and underwriting, reporting to Kravetz.
Both join from G2 Real Estate, where they worked following the collapse of Lehman — both worked in the large loans team at the US bank. Kravetz and Mark Walsh, the head of real estate, left when Barclays took over Lehman’s US business in 2008.
ANZ hires Elder to loans and capital markets
Fergus Elder has joined ANZ as head of global loans and capital markets, Europe. He moves from UBS, where he was managing director, after leaving the role of head of loans capital markets at JP Morgan.
Elder will be based in London and will report jointly to Adrian Sainsbury, managing director, Europe, and Cathryn Carver, global head of capital markets.
Jolly joins Schroders
Schroders has hired Bob Jolly to its fixed income team as head of global macro. He was previously head of global sovereign, currency and UK fixed income portfolio management at UBS.
Jolly will be based in London but will focus on furthering Schroders’ expansion into Asia and the USA. He will report to Phillippe Lespinard, CIO.
Credit Suisse takes O’Brien for ABS sales
Jason O’Brien has joined Credit Suisse as director in UK ABS sales. He joins from Jefferies, and starts in mid-July. He joined Jefferies in summer 2009.
