Companies to rely on loans despite talk of credit squeeze
Leading companies are confident of being able to finance their growth in the coming years, a survey for Allen & Overy has found, and most want to use bank loans. The results run counter to widespread forecasts of a credit squeeze because of regulatory and funding pressure on banks — and also prompted the UK law firm to suggest that respondents were being unrealistic.
