Lloyds doubles underlying profits but is dogged by PPI provision
Lloyds TSB posted third quarter underlying pre-tax profits of £840m in its results on Thursday, double its third quarter 2011 figure. But the bank, like its UK peer Barclays, was hit by a provision for victims of payment protection insurance mis-selling.
