Not much to be thankful for in the US markets

It’s Thanksgiving week, but there’s precious little reason for Wall Streeters to gorge on turkey, still less to make nice to the mother-in-law. Only two deals have been priced — which is not terribly unusual for this week of the year — but syndicate managers were shocked that American Express was obliged to print its $550m three year at plus 200bp and dropped the planned five year leg.
