CoCa adds to bank capital management strategy but a sideshow, say rating agencies

S&P does not expect contingent capital securities to become the dominant feature of banks’ capital strategies, the agency said in a report this week. Instead, the rating agency said that it expected to see banks focus more on rebuilding core measures of tangible equity.
