ECM deals rise 50%, Easter run-up crucial

European equity capital markets issuance this year is running 50% higher than in the same period in 2010, and a pause this week notwithstanding — issuance ground to a halt on Tuesday — bankers expect a frantic pace of issuance in the run-up to the Easter break.
