BIS Draws Up OTC Systemic Importance Formula
The total notional of over-the-counter derivatives held by a bank divided by the total outstanding notional of all banks will be weighted at 6.67% into a formula calculating the systemic importance of each bank, according to a paper released today by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision at the Bank for International Settlements.
