GE raises Skr2bn in corporate-hungry Swedish market
A tightening in Swedish krona spreads and investors’ strong bid for corporate paper after a glut of FIG supply for the most part of last year and the beginning of 2012, benefited General Electric Capital Corp’s first deal in the currency for 11 months this week — a Skr2bn ($300m) dual tranche 2015 note increased from Skr1bn.
Most corporate deals in kronor are smaller private placements, reflecting the markets domestic nature. However, GEs is the latest in a series of benchmark deals this year, including issues by Scania, Securitas and state-owned timber firm Sveaskog.
