StanChart hands Malaysia CEO role to Anwar

Standard Chartered has named Abrar Anwar as the new chief executive of its Malaysian business.

Anwar will succeed current CEO Mahendra Gursahani, who is leaving the bank to pursue other opportunities. Gursahani will remain in the job until October 31 and Anwar's appointment will take effect on November 1.
