GlobalWafers ties up $350m acquisition loan
Taiwanese semiconductor company GlobalWafers Co has wrapped up a $350m dual tranche acquisition financing with a group of local lenders. The same banks have also provided $200m to refinance the debt of the target company SunEdison.
GlobalWafers acquired US-based firm SunEdison for $683m, according to a statement from December 2, 2016.
As a result, the firm took a dual tranche loan to support the acquisition. This was split into a $150m one year term loan A and a $200m five year term
