Operation Blanche kicks off Q-Cells capital raise

Q-Cells, the German solar energy equipment firm, launched a four-pronged capital raising plan on Monday evening in an effort to deal with the pending maturity of a convertible bond in 2012. Investors reacted positively to the Eu260m deal — and a positive trading update from the firm — sending the stock up 2.5% on Tuesday.
