EM mandates don’t guarantee deal flow

Russian media holding group ProfMedia and Polish insurer PZU have mandated banks for their respective $500m and $1bn listings in the first half this year, but a deal is far from guaranteed. Russian miner Suek for example has named Citi to run its $1bn IPO — but it is the company’s third attempt to list. EuroWeek will give details of all mandates on Friday.
