HSBC adds Swiss franc syndicate, hires Welandagoda

HSBC has appointed Fabian Welandagoda as a director and head of Swiss franc syndicate. The newly created position signals an effort from the bank to capitalise on its links with emerging market issuers, a market segment that has become prominent in Swiss francs over the last year as investors have continued their pursuit of higher yielding credits.
