Investment grade issuers turn shy as high yielders dance
Europe’s high yield bond new issue market is putting the investment grade corporate world to shame. In a week of very strong markets, with the Markit iTraxx Europe Main index closing 3bp tighter at 91bp yesterday, barely a blue chip corporate borrower has been bothered to issue a benchmark bond for investors to get their teeth into.
