BaFin ban dashes hopes of imminent senior recovery
The move by BaFin on Tuesday evening to ban uncovered short selling of eurozone sovereign bonds, credit default swaps and the shares of 10 German financial companies sent a shock through the FIG bond market on Wednesday.
New issuance will be pushed back at least another week until clarity emerges about the extent of the ban, said investors and bankers.
