Thiam quits Credit Suisse on fixed income high

Credit Suisse has reported a strong end to last year for fixed income sales and trading, in chief executive Tidjane Thiam’s last week in the job.

The Swiss bank shared the growth experienced by rivals last quarter in fixed income trading and sales revenues, it announced on Thursday, with proceeds up 71% to Sfr808m ($826m) in the global markets business, compared with the fourth quarter of 2018.
