Yellen speaks clearly: it’s analysts who can’t listen

There is no better illustration of human diversity than a US Federal Reserve press conference. Thousands of financial specialists, mostly with similar educations and backgrounds, listen to them at the same time.

Yet when they turn to their neighbours to discuss it, or read analysts’ commentary, many must ask, bewildered: “Did that person listen to the same speech as I did?”
