Fed more likely to pick QE over negative rates, say economists

The Federal Reserve is unlikely to take US interest rates into negative territory, preferring to embark on another round of quantitative easing to stave off a recession, speakers said at ABS East on Tuesday.

Speakers on the last day of ABS East in Miami Beach said that it is unlikely that the Fed will follow the path taken by the European Central Bank.
