European pipeline bulges with trio of new deals

The new issue pipeline in Europe is showing no sign of slowing down following what was one of the busiest weeks of the year so far, as issuers tee up three new deals, including the first public auto ABS to be issued by Mercedes-Benz in Italy.

Mercedes' €558.7m Silver Arrow Merfina 2019-1 is being arranged by UniCredit. The deal will also be the second Italian securitization to qualify for the ‘simple, transparent and standardised’ (STS) framework after consumer ABS Sunrise priced on Friday.

Prime Collateralised Securities is acting as third-party verifier on the deal.
