Alex Pierre, global product head for credit and financing structuring, has left the bank after eight years’ service. According to sources he is on gardening leave and heading to another job that starts in December, although details are not yet known.
A UBS spokesperson declined to comment, but it is thought the bank has not yet lined up a replacement.
Pierre joined UBS as co-head of credit derivatives structuring in June 2006. He has since held various responsibilities in structuring, trading and marketing multi-asset class products and strategies. As well as his latest global title, he was European co-head of FX, rates, credit and financing structuring.
Before joining UBS, Pierre worked in CDO, CLO and illiquid structuring at Citigroup. He joined the bank in June 2004 from BNP Paribas.
