Turmoil at FHFA may expedite housing reform, experts say

The Federal Housing Finance Authority (FHFA), which regulates and oversees Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, has seen better summers.

Melvin Watt, head of the FHFA since 2014, is under investigation for alleged sexual harassment of an employee as she requested a salary raise, reported Politico recently.
