Barings doubles down on securitization as late cycle shield

Barings is taking defensive action in the late cycle climate by allocating two thirds of its global investment grade strategy fund to securitized products, including ABS and CLOs.

Launched in October 2018, Barings' global IG strategy fund takes a multi-credit, opportunistic approach that is not dependent on where the benchmark is. The short duration fund targets a total return of 250bp over Libor.
