A hastily arranged bankruptcy financing for Toys ‘R’ Us has left investors analysts scrambling to understand the impact on the company’s corporate and real estate debt.

The US toy retailer filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Tuesday, after weeks of speculation over the company’s viability caused 40% of key suppliers to refuse to ship inventory without immediate payment, ahead of a vital holiday trading period.
