Moody's Adds A Dozen ABS Analysts

Moody's Investors Service has recruited 12 analysts for its structure finance department, all of whom are scheduled to start between this month and August. Brian Clarkson, managing director of the structured finance-Americas group, says the hires are needed to keep pace with the overall growth of the ABS/MBS sector.

Several of the analysts come from Street firms. Annika Sandback, v.p., joins from Goldman Sachs in New York, where she worked for five years reporting to Jeff Strauss, managing director. Sandback will report to Michael Kanef, managing director. Oscar Stefani also joins from Goldman Sachs. He also worked at Banco Industrial de Venezuela, and will work in Moody's mortgage department under the supervision of Linda Stesney.

Xiaolan Zhang, assistant v.p., joins from Société Générale in Paris, and Konstantina Drakouli moves over from The World Bank in Washington. Both will report to Edward Bankole, managing director. Peng Zheng, associate analyst, joins from UBS Warburg. He will report to Pramila Gupta, managing director. Yong-Kyoo Rim worked two years at Salomon Smith Barney. At Moody's, Rim will work under Andy Silver, managing director.
