Rick Kammler, a director in loan sales at UBS, has left the firm. The reason for his departure could not be determined, and Kammler declined comment. Kammler originally joined UBS in the summer of 2001 after leaving Bear Stearns, where he had been a par trader. Prior to that Kammler worked in leveraged lending at Natexis Banque.
Brendan Dillon, managing director and head of loan sales at UBS, declined to comment on Kammler's departure, but a UBS spokesman confirmed the move. UBS is believed to be looking to hire a replacement. The firm also recently hired Ed Kearns out of retirement. Kearns joined the desk early in January as a director in loan sales. Kearns had been a v.p. and loan sales manager at Goldman Sachs prior to his retirement from the firm last July (LMW, 1/19).
