Gary Jenkins and Jim Reid, the senior strategy research team from Barclays Capital in London, have joined Deutsche Bank in London. Jenkins joins as European head of credit research and fundamental strategy and will start in the fourth quarter. Reid, who spent eight years at Barclays, joins Deutsche Bank as European credit strategist and will start in September. Both will report to David Folkerts-Landau, head of global markets research.

 

Y.C. Wu, director in structured finance at MBIA Insurance, recently moved to Financial Guaranty Insurance Co. in a similar role. He will focus on commercial asset-backed transactions, particularly those for financial institutions. At MBIA, Wu focused on new asset class development and wrapped structured transactions for financial institutions such as life insurance companies, brokerage firms and specialty finance companies. He previously worked at Goldman Sachs.

 

Toby Mitchell, credit derivatives salesman at Citigroup Global Markets, has moved to Banc of America Securities in a similar role. At BofA, Mitchell will report to Peter Nguyen, head of liquid credit derivatives sales. Bill Parry, head of investment-grade credit sales in New York, said the group also plans to make additional hires.
