Société Générale has hired Jean-David Cirotteau, head of ABS research at CDC Ixis Capital Markets in Paris, in the newly created role of head of ABS research. "It is an exhilarating job, and I am very happy to be a part of the SocGen team," said Cirotteau, adding that the bank will hire one more ABS analyst in the near future. Cirotteau reports to Benoît Hubaud, head of credit research at SocGen. "This hire is part of SG's strategy to enhance its credit research activity and further develop the ABS coverage we offer our European client base," said Hubaud.
At CDC, Cirotteau reported to Jean-Francois Paren, head of credit research. Paren said CDC Ixis has no asset-backed research coverage at the moment and plans to hire one to two analysts for the sector, along with three to four analyst to expand the corporate bond and strategy research teams. "We have decided to expand our team and diversify the sectors we cover; we are still committed to coverage of the ABS sector," Paren noted.
