Harry Fry, senior managing director at Cantor Fitzgerald in charge of its brokerage division in New York, recently left the firm and plans to join Maxcor Financial Group. Fry, who was one of Cantor's key managers, was also formerly a senior manager at e-Speed. Fry could not be reached. He was instrumental in helping to rebuild the brokerage division after the terrorist attacks of 9/11, according to one fixed-income salesman. Roger Schwed, spokesman at Maxcor, said Fry starts in a senior role at Maxcor later this month, declining further comment.
Most recently at Cantor, Fry ran the voice brokerage division, which handled the trading of bonds, interest-rate swaps and foreign exchange. Tom Ryan, spokesman at Cantor, confirmed Fry departed earlier this year.
