Two traders recently left Banc of America Securities' mortgage desk in New York. Dawn Palo, managing director and mortgage options trader, and Peter Gall, pass-through trader, left at the end of May. Palo is joining Goldman Sachs as a senior mortgage saleswoman later this month in New York, according to Jonathan Sobel, managing director and head of mortgage trading at Goldman. Palo did not return calls.
Meanwhile, Gall said he starts at Deutsche Bank this week as a non-flow MBS trader and will report to Todd Knezovic, head of the mortgage trading desk.
Jeff Hershberger, spokesman for BofA, declined to comment.
