Goldman Shifts Par Trader To Special Situations Group

Al Dombrowski, a par/crossover trader at Goldman Sachs, has moved internally to take a position as head trader for the Special Situations Investing (SSI) group.

Al Dombrowski, a par/crossover trader at Goldman Sachs, has moved internally to take a position as head trader for the Special Situations Investing (SSI) group. SSI is an internal investment group focused on the trading and the negotiation of distressed investments.

Dombrowski, who is filling a newly created position, reports to Joseph "Jody" LaNasa, managing director and head of the special situations group. Steve Byrne has replaced Dombrowski in the par loan spot. A spokeswoman and Dombrowski declined comment.

Separately, Keith Zusi, a distressed loan salesman from Citibank, has moved to Goldman in a similar role. Zusi's move is unrelated to Dombrowski, bankers said. Zusi declined comment. He reports to Steve Hickey, managing director and head of bank loan sales and trading at Goldman. Hickey was traveling and could not be reached.
