Jason Kim, whole loan trader at Merrill Lynch in New York, has joined Deutsche Bank in a similar role. Kim reports to Michael Commaroto, managing director and head of the whole loan trading desk, according to people familiar with the move. Kim did not respond to calls to his mobile phone and Commaroto did not return calls. Rohini Pragasam, spokeswoman, also did not return a call by press time.
At Merrill, Kim reported to Andy Beal, managing director and head of the collateralized mortgage obligations desk at Merrill. Beal could not be reached though Michael DuVally, spokesman, confirmed the departure.
